Since you cannot go back and undo past mistakes, you really have two options. You can dwell on them and become consumed with the effects that they may have had on your family and career. Or you can come to terms with them through grace, accepting them as poignant markers from which you can learn something valuable.

Learn a major lesson from the story of Noah: No on earth deserves your worship. Try to remember that every person on earth is still a depraved human being. Some are being used by God in powerful ways, but in no way are they free from the disease. Example: Noah...a good man who distinguished himself in bad times...but was still imperfect. (See Genesis 9:20-22)

Is the Lord really building your home? Stop and think. The Lord alone can give you the skills and abilities to be there for your family. You can't do it on your own. Working independently of Him will accomplish zero. Remember, it is the Lord who gives you these gifts. (See Psalm 127:1)
