To be like Jesus. That is our goal, plain and simple. It sounds like a peaceful, relaxing, easy objective. But stop and think. He learned obedience by the things He suffered. So do we. He endured all kinds of temptations. So must we. To be like Jesus is our goal. But it is neither easy or quick nor natural. It’s impossible in the flesh, slow in coming and supernatural in scope. Only Jesus can accomplish it within us. (See Matthew 4:1)
