Why is it so hard for us today to believe that God can still do the impossible? When did He stop leading people down unusual paths? Did you ever notice that those in God's inspired Book who experienced the fullness of His power stepped in with total obedience? (See Genesis 6:22)

The most effective form of retaliation is an absence of retaliation…leaving all the vengeance to God. In doing so, we “will heap burning coals” on the head of an adversary, which is nothing more than overcoming evil with good (read Romans 12:20-21). (See Proverbs 25:21-22)

Following the sixth day of creation, the Lord God deliberately stopped working. He rested. It wasn't that there was nothing else He could have done. He could have easily made more worlds, created an infinite number of other forms of life and provided multiple millions of galaxies beyond what He did. But He didn't. He stopped. He spent an entire day resting. Sounds to me like He made the day of which He rested a "priority" period of time. (See Genesis 2:2)

When Eve gave birth, it was in Adam's likeness, not God's. Why? Because depravity had flooded humanity and polluted their innocence. Sin intercepted the pass, and it will never give the ball back - never! Not on this earth. (See Genesis 5:1-3)
