I find that defiance, more than any other attitude, is the thing that kindles God’s anger. Let us never forget that our defiance gives Him every right to be angry. We’ve broken His holy plan for us. The word DELIGHT means “to take great satisfaction in; to approve of someone.” It even means “to admire, or to affirm.” Does your spouse, your child, your mother or father, you sister or brother, your friend, know you admire him or her? Your admiration helps them admire themselves. Affirmation works wonders. (See Jeremiah 31:20)
