Reality is a great teacher, and if you teach children to learn from reality, its lessons will continue through their whole lives.

When you don't concern yourself with being your brother's keeper, you don't have to get dirty anymore or take risks or lose your objectivity or run up against the thorny side of an issue that lacks any easy answers. (See Genesis 4:9)

Hope doesn’t require a massive chain where heavy links of logic hold it together. A thin wire will do…just strong enough to get us through the night until the wind dies down. (See Jeremiah 29:10-14)

The next moment is as much beyond our grasp, and as much in God's care, as that a hundred years away. Care for the next minute is as foolish as care for a day in the next thousand years. In neither can we do anything, in both God is doing everything.

Learn a major lesson from the story of Noah: No on earth deserves your worship. Try to remember that every person on earth is still a depraved human being. Some are being used by God in powerful ways, but in no way are they free from the disease. Example: Noah...a good man who distinguished himself in bad times...but was still imperfect. (See Genesis 9:20-22)
